Jennifer Keller

 

Originally from the metropolitan Detroit area, Jennifer Keller began studying harp with Patricia Terry-Ross of Wayne State University.  She then went on to earn a Bachelor of Music degree in Harp Performance from Ball State University, and a Master of Music degree from Boston University.  In addition, she spent two summers in the Harp Seminar at the prestigious Tanglewood Institute in Lenox, Massachusetts.  Former teachers include Elizabeth Richter and Lucile Lawrence, and she has performed with conductors Leonard Atherton, Roger Nierenberg, and Karen Nixon-Lane. 

Prior to coming to Illinois in 1996, she was the harpist for the Richmond (IN) Symphony, the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra, the Radcliffe Choral Society, the Birmingham-Bloomfield Symphony, and the Farmington Philharmonic Orchestra.  Since 2001, she has been the harpist for ECC’s Encore Musical Theatre and for Heartland Voices.  Her diverse musical activities also include chamber music, and solo recitals, and she is a frequent performer at a wide variety of events at some of suburban Chicago’s most popular venues.
